About this item

Many local residents knew the Fullers as farmers as well as artists. Here, the artist Elizabeth Fuller (1896-1979) depicts herself with her brother George (1893-1950) picking potatoes at their farm in the Bars section of Deerfield, Massachusetts. At harvest time, all family members would be expected to help bring in the crops.
