About this item

Those gathering in seasonal camps for religious purposes established them with all the conveniences of home. This one, “the Merriam tent,” in July 1907, is set in the tall trees of Ashfield, Massachusetts. The location allowed a back-to-nature as well as a back-to-religion experience for entire families. The platform permits indoor/outdoor living and the furnishings from home are complete with a stove.
