About this item

“Ye Stockade Shop & Tea Room”  was designed to invoke memories of colonial times.  Mrs. S. Wells ran her business from 1910-1911, when the Arts and Crafts movement (1875-1920) was at its peak in Deerfield, Massachusetts. The movement came about as an increasingly industrialized world caused many people to think nostalgically of times past.
