About this item

The Starrett Company,  located in Athol, Massachusetts, created this postcard in 1898, stating it was the “largest plant in the world for exclusively making hand tools for mechanics.” It still produces fine precision tools for industrial, professional, and consumer markets world-wide. The Orange/Athol area was the site of many large factories along the Millers River.
