The Shelburne Falls (Massachusetts) Marble Company was purchased in 1888 by David Temple, a marble salesman in Rutland, Vermont. He came from nearby Heath, Massachusetts. Featured along with the company’s buildings in the logo is the Shelburne Falls-Colrain Trolley, also owned by Temple.
