The Greenfield Tool Company was founded in 1851, after the Conway Tool Company was destroyed by fire. The Greenfield company eventually became the American Tap and Die Company. In 1925, it merged with the Williamsburg Manufacturing Company to form the Threadwell Tool Company, which remained in Greenfield for another 60 years. As a part of its 130th anniversary celebration, Threadwell issued this reprint of the original 1854 catalog of the firm.
