These are the minutes of a meeting of the selectmen and committees from the towns in northern Hampshire County, Massachusetts, held on September 21, 1778, in Shelburne. This meeting voted to send a remonstrance to the Inferior Court in Northampton and a petition to the Superior Court in Springfield against admitting Mr. Strong and Mr. Bliss to plead at the bar. Mr. Strong and Mr. Bliss were Tory (favoring England) sympathizers.
