Tricorn Hat

About this item

“Tricorn” hats were so named because they had three corners.  They were made of the felted undercoat of beavers and were worn by soldiers and civilians throughout the colonial period. This tricorn was owned by Colonel Joseph Stebbins, Jr. of Deerfield, Massachusetts.
