Madeline Yale Wynne (1847-1918) was an accomplished artisan who was part of the Arts and Crafts movement in Deerfield, Massachusetts, at the turn of the 20th century. She handmade the silver buckles that adorn this pair of 20th century shoes. The owner wore the shoes with colonial-style clothing at historic occasions in town.
