About this item

Dexter Pierce (1806-1860) designed this plow. Over the course of his life he lived in Southbridge, Sturbridge, Montague, and Northfield, Massachusetts.  He owned land in Sunderland, Massachusetts, as well. Unfortunately, Pierce’s plow model was not a success.
