About this item

This cutlery box was a wedding present to Charlotte Wardner Lamson when she married Charles Hyde Warren in 1905. She was the granddaughter of Ebenezer Lamson, one of the original partners of the Lamson & Goodnow Company of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, which manufactured knives and tableware. Oddly, this case contained only knives, several nut picks, serving forks, and a fish knife. Perhaps another box held the spoons and forks.
