About this item

Founded in 1935, by entrepreneur Steven Damerst, the Wellworth Pharmacy was an Amherst, Massachusetts, fixture for over 40 years. By 1940, they had expanded their offerings, promoting themselves as the only drugstore in Western Massachusetts to carry a complete line of cameras, camera supplies, and darkroom equipment. By 1942, they had added the “Modern Luncheonette Bar” seen here.
