About this item

Orange, Massachusetts, located on the Millers River, is an industrial town. In addition to a variety of mills, it was once the home of the New Home Sewing Machine Company and the Grout automobile company.  By 1915, the town’s population had grown by a little over 157%, making it the third fastest growing town in the country.
