About this item

From the Greenfield Recorder, Father Randolph Calvo and parishioners from the Holy Name of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, bless the dead during dedication of a cross at their cemetery on Sunday, November 5, 1995. Photo by Peter MacDonald.

The parish was established in 1929 by a dedicated community of parishioners whose legacy of spiritual freedom is still with us after 96 years. As part of the Polish National Catholic Church (PNCC), it is the only Catholic church in Franklin County whose bishop is not under Roman jurisdiction.
