About this item

At the time of this diagram (circa 1829) John Wilson’s orchard consisted of 26 fruit and nut trees. Dominated by apple varieties for eating, cooking, and for cider, the orchard also contained a catalpa tree at the far southwestern edge of the plot, a hops vine, a Madeira nut tree, and various other fruits.
