Image/Video

The small image of the person and the “learn more..” link near it are both included automatically, so no need to do anything for this element.

Intro Paragraph

The introductory paragraph are included automatically from the text in the Excerpt field; no need to do anything once the text for excerpt field has been entered.

Menu of Stories

This menu is generated automatically once the story pages have been created. If the story pages are not appearing it’s most likely that their parent page has been incorrectly set.

Contextual Info

Be sure that all the relevant images have been created and uploaded to the media library. Using an “image block”, insert the top image, and copy the image’s credit from the old website into the image’s caption field. Enter “Alternative Text” in the right-hand column that describes the image for vision impaired visitors. If the image’s credit includes a link to its source, ensure that the link it working.

Following the image block, add a paragraph block and copy in corresponding the text from the old website. Ensure that formatting is correct: italics, quotes, footnote numbers.

For footnotes, use a paragraph block and copy in the footnote text. In the right-hand column, expand the “Advanced” pane and enter the word “footnote” in the “Additional CSS Class(es)” field. This will apply the correct formatting to the footnote text.

Audio Clips

Below the images and captions you’ll find the fields for entering the story’s audio clips. Paste the clip’s title in the “Title of clip” field.

Under the “Audio File” heading, click the “Add file” button. This will open the “Select file” pane with a selection of all the media that you previously attached to this story. Select the clip you want, then click the red “select” button at the bottom of the pane.

Copy the clip’s transcription from the old website and paste it into the “Transcription” field, checking for correct formatting.

Repeat this process for all the clips that comprise this story page by clicking the “Add story clip” button.
