Lucia Fairchild Fuller

Lucia (Fairchild) Fuller was trained at Cowles Art School in Boston, Massachusetts, and the Art Students League in New York City. Along with Mary Cassatt, Fuller was one of four artists who were commissioned to paint a mural for the Woman’s Building Hall of Honor at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. After she married artist Henry Brown Fuller (1867-1934) of Deerfield, Massachusetts, she turned her talents to portraiture and became successful as a miniaturist.
