About this item

John Wilson (1782-1869) was an agriculturist and the inventor and manufacturer of agricultural implements, one of which is the plough pictured here. In1816, Wilson built a printing and publishing office in Deerfield, Massachusetts, which he operated until 1820, with his brother-in-law, Rodolphus Dickinson (1786-1862).
