George Fuller’s (1822-1884) studio was located at The Bars at the southern end of Deerfield, Massachusetts. He remodeled a house across the road from his home to serve as his workspace for painting. A work in progress, “Led Through the Meadows,” rests on an easel in the center of the photograph. Fellow artist, J. Wells Champney (1843-1903) took this photograph.
