About this item

This miniature tall chest is inscribed “Made for Grandmother Peabody by her little friend Burnham in 1792. Cut out with a knife.” The piece of furniture is only six inches high, but is complete with a lift top and three working drawers set on tall cabriole legs. It came to Memorial Hall Museum in Deerfield, Massachusetts, from Bridgton, Maine.
