About this item

This blown glass vase was probably made at the New England Glass Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was given to Susan (Childs) Starr (1821-1900) of Deerfield, Massachusetts, by her friends and neighbors in 1854, before she moved to Laona, Illinois, with her husband, Caleb Starr, and their children.
