WWI Toy Ambulance with Figures

About this item

This World War I toy was manufactured by Otto and Max Hauser in Stuttgart, Germany, who founded their company,  O&M Hauser,  in 1904. The ambulance, complete with linen side curtains, is made of iron, but the figures and the horses are molded of “elastolin”, a mixture of sawdust and glue attached to a wire frame.
