The Pocumtuck Basket Makers of Deerfield, Massachusetts, were active during the national Arts & Crafts movement (1875-1920.) The basket makers exhibited and sold their work under the auspices of the Deerfield Industries. Raffia is a palm fiber imported from tropical countries.
