This early charcoal sketch by Elizabeth Brooks Fuller (1896-1979) depicts the raising of her brother George Fuller’s tobacco barn. George (1893-1950) ran the family farm at The Bars, Deerfield, Massachusetts, and here community members can be seen helping the family build their third tobacco barn.
