About this item

The Deerfield, Massachusetts pageant of 1913, was the second held in the town. Its theme was the present and future.  The “present” dancers are shown here.  “Education” holds a long feather and is  followed “Co-operation,” “Friendliness,” and “Prosperity.”  Other dancers carry wheat, symbolizing the “Spirit of Plenty.”
