This ancient sycamore, also known as a buttonball tree, might be as old as the United States Constitution.  This tree stands nearly 113 feet high, with a girth of 24 feet, 7 inches, and a spread of 140 feet.  As of the early 21st century, it still stands along Main Street in Sunderland, Massachusetts.
