Accompanied by an illustrated booklet, these plastic action toys, titled “Mohawk Kidnaps John Williams” were created by New Ventures P.D. & M. Ltd.  and made in China.  The dolls are intended to dramatize the story of the capture of the Reverend John Williams of Deerfield, Massachusetts, by Indigenous warriors in the 1704 raid on the town. Claiming to be authentically researched and documented, the toys are part of a series that is intended to tell stories of strength and courage.
