About this item

Jim Pasiecnik operates a large potato farm. In the early days of Eastern European settlement in the Connecticut River Valley, farm work was heavy manual labor. Much of that burden is now eased by mechanization. Practical experience and knowledge of farming handed down from one generation to the next are the foundation on which farms operate. Dedicated farmers add to that foundation by keeping up with recent scientific research.
