About this item

This WWII Army registration card was issued to Frank R. Dahowski, Jr. (1910-1988) of Montague, Massachusetts, a first generation Polish American.  He was one of approximately 16.5 million American men and women who served during World War II (1941-1945). A 1928 graduate of Deerfield Academy, Frank was employed by the Luey and Abercrombie grocery business of Greenfield, Massachusetts, before enlisting in the service in 1942.  He married Olga Kostecky in 1947.
