About this item

Louis Lashier was a foreman at the Millers Falls Company in Millers Falls, Massachusetts, for many years. In this three-page statement he expresses his concern that the nation’s security is being taken for granted by workers on the homefront. He fears Nazism will invade the United States unless Americans can “unite as one.” He encourages workers to cooperate and sacrifice for the sake of production. Lashier believes that soldiers need the workers and the tools they make to win the war as much as the workers need the soldiers to defend their country from a Nazi invasion.
