About this item

Ephraim Williams (1797-1870) of Deerfield, Massachusetts, left his entire estate to his wife, Rebecca, provided she did not remarry.  Earlier in the century females typically received “moveables”, or houshold goods, while males inherited real estate, but by the date of this will, that was no longer the case.
