This lab coat was worn by senior toolmakers and employees in the Quality Control Lab of the Millers Falls Company of Greenfield and Millers Falls, Massachusetts. Strictly clean and climate-controlled environments were necessary in these factories that produced precision measuring tools. Before World War II, the Millers Falls Tool Company made 2,500 different tools. During the war, the company continued manufacturing all its usual product lines, such as electric tools, hand tools, hacksaw blades, levels, planes, micrometers, etc..
