This appliqued and embroidered hanging was inspired by William Morris’s poem, “Two Red Roses Across the Moon.” English designer, critic, and socialist William Morris was one of the leaders of the Arts and Crafts Movement.  The wallhanging was created by the Deerfield (Massachusetts) Society of Blue and White Needlework.
