About this item

Ephraim Williams (1760-1835) of Deerfield, Massachusetts, trained as a lawyer and was the first reporter for the Supreme Court. He was Deerfield’s representative to the General Court in Boston and served as senator councilor and as a presidential elector in 1812. He received a Masters Degree from Williams College in 1795, at the age of 35.
