About this item

Northampton, Massachusetts, is nick-named “Paradise City,” after Swedish singer Jenny Lind called it “The Paradise of America.” This picture shows a vibrant downtown business block including a photography studio and the Draper Hotel. These beautiful buildings still form the core of the downtown, although their uses have changed.
