This badge was worn by Constance Olszewski of Montague, Massachusetts, an employee of Raytheon Manufacturing Company’s secret plant in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She worked there as a teenager during the summer of 1945. The Raytheon Company produced the bases for miniature radio tubes and electronic circuit boards that were used in “proximity fuzes” during the World War II (1939-1945).
